Custom Questions Library
Overview
The Custom Questions Library lets you manage the questions your organization uses across your projects. Custom questions don't have to be a one and done, you can re-use the same question over and over and compare the results across multiple projects (for most Zappi Solutions).
Navigate to the custom questions library by clicking your avatar in the bottom left and selecting 'Organization Settings'. Then select 'Library' and 'Custom Questions'.

Custom Question management
On the main Custom Questions page, you can:
- Switch from the Original Library to the New Library
- Search for a question and filter by type and visibility
- Customize the table view. You can remove columns and re-order them

From the 3-dot menu you can:
- Edit the name and visibility
- Remove the question
- Migrate the question to the New Library
- Swap to the Projects page

Original Library vs. New Library
Custom questions are closely connected to the solution type and configuration journey you use. Questions that were created using some of our older or more simple solutions or our original configuration are in the 'Original Library'.
Any questions created in the newest version of our configuration journey will appear in the 'New Library'.
Migrating questions
You can choose to migrate any question from the old library to the new by clicking on the 3-dot menu.

The question will still appear in the original library as well as the new library. You can tell if a question has already been migrated because the option will disappear.

New Library navigation
You'll notice some extra data in the new library.
- You can filter by more options and the table includes more information like the created date, modified date, and more.
- You can also export the new library to CSV by clicking the download button in the top right of the table.
- Use the 3-dot menu to View the question details, Edit the name, or delete the question.

Best Practices for Custom Questions
To get the most out of a connected insights system, you want to be very consistent with the questions you choose to ask your respondents. By managing your custom questions across your organization, You can more easily compare the results from one project to another. This works only when you use the same question each time.
Even if a question is worded similarly, small differences can cause different results. In some cases, when you re-use a custom question across 20 or more studies, it will create a norm for that particular question. This is only possible for solutions that use norms and for questions that are identical.
