Wallets

Overview

Wallets are Zappi’s way of organizing your credits so you can easily manage budgets and spend on your various projects. See how many credits you have remaining, expiring credits, and who has access to use each wallet from the Wallets page.

To view your wallets, click on your avatar in the bottom left and select ‘Plan & Credit’.

Wallets Page

From the main wallets page, you can see the remaining credits in your individual wallets, who has access, and which credits are expiring soon.

  1. Use the search bar to find a wallet by keyword
  2. Filter using the buttons below the search bar. This is a great way to filter for wallets with expiring credits.

Credit Bundles

Whenever you purchase a set of credits from Zappi, you create a credit bundle. These credits are added to a wallet and contribute to the overall balance of that wallet.

A credit bundle has two attributes that are permanently attached to it no matter what happens to those credits:

  • An expiry date
  • A percentage discount if applicable

When credits are used or transferred, they always carry these attributes with them.

A wallet can hold multiple credit bundles, each potentially with different discounts and expiry dates.

You can think of it as if you have gift cards with built-in discounts and use-by dates. You can use part of one card amount to pay for something small, or use more than one to cover a bigger purchase, but the terms each card came with will never change.

If multiple bundles are required to cover one purchase, you will see an effective discount at checkout. Find out how we calculate Effective Discount.

Expiring Credits

Wallets with expiring credits are labeled. Hover over the label to see when they expire.

You will be alerted when credits are 3 months from expiration date by a notification that appears on the wallet.

Wallets follow first in, first out rules, so you are always spending credits that expire first.

Create a new wallet

Wallets allow you to allocate and track credit usage across different teams, regions, or business functions.

Here are some examples:

  • Team or business unit
  • Brand or product line
  • Budget ownership

Wallet naming best practices

When creating a wallet, choose a clear, descriptive name that reflects its intended purpose to help team members understand how credits within that wallet should be used.

Since wallets are designed for ongoing, repeated use, all transactions are automatically tracked over time. Well-organized wallets make it significantly easier to review and export the financial history for any given team or business function.

After creating a new wallet, share it with the relevant users and transfer credits into it. Note that each wallet supports only one currency, so make sure you're transferring the correct funds into a new empty wallet.

Transferring Credits

Credits are transferable between wallets as long as the currency matches. Move credits around to use them before they expire, or to reflect a change in scope from one wallet type to another.

To transfer credits, select the wallet you want to transfer credits FROM, click the 3-dot menu, and click ‘transfer’.

Search for and select the wallet you want to transfer TO.

You can choose any number of credits from any credit bundle in the first wallet. Any discounts will carry over to the new wallet.

Archived Wallets

Empty wallets can be archived to keep your wallet collection organized.

To archive a wallet, click the three-dot menu in the bottom right of the wallet and select archive.

Your wallet will be labelled as archived and removed from the active list. To view archived wallets, select ‘Archived’ from the filters. From here, you can unarchive any wallet to begin using it again.

Wallets FAQ

Why do I sometimes see ‘Unknown User’ in my transaction history?

These are internal transactions where Zappi has transferred credits between wallets or made adjustments via internal systems.

Why am I seeing multiple transaction lines for amended orders?

When an order is amended (for example, consultancy or an additional service is added), the original transaction is refunded and the amended order is then run down immediately.

This results in three transaction lines:

  1. Original order
  2. Refunded order
  3. Amended order
